FAQs

  • Being that we import these Pods from overseas, they do adhere to different countries' standards. Although we have altered certain aspects of the Pods materials via our manufacturer in order to further align with New Zealand standards, there are still specific elements that don't do not meet the New Zealand building Code. Ultimately, our Pods may not meet the necessary building standards to obtain consent as a permanent dwelling.

There are considerations that could affect the need for consent. If the pod is used as a temporary portable dwelling (movable and not fixed to the ground), and if it is self-contained, then consent may not be required under certain circumstances.

We strongly advise consulting with your local planning authority to understand the specific requirements and restrictions in your area. Local councils will ultimately govern the consent process and regulations.

  • Yes, our pods include premium 50mm glass wool insulation in the under floor and ceiling for optimal heat retention. The external walls are constructed with either 75mm Rockwool sandwich panels or 60mm Rockwool sandwich panels paired with 15mm metal carved decorative cladding, featuring PU insulation within. Moreover, each home is fitted with Green Life double-glazed windows, enhancing thermal efficiency and comfort regardless of the season.

  • Due to the Pods being delivered nationwide, we are unable to offer installation services.

Our pods are delivered to site around 95% complete. Although they are fairly simple to unfold and set up, we still strongly recommend licensed tradespeople carry out the work to ensure the Pod is properly sealed and the work is carried out correctly.

  • Our Pods do not come with built-in hot water or heating systems due to the variety of options available, differing customer preferences and feasibility depending on location.

There are a range of different systems to choose from, including gas, electric, fixed, or "plug and play" options. Depending on your choice, additional plumbing and electrical work may be required. We strongly recommend hiring licensed professionals to handle these installations to ensure safety and proper functionality.
